We Are What We Choose....So Who and What Are You??

Since I was a youth, I always think whether we have choices in life. I always heard from my parents/elders saying that life is always tough for them and they don't have a choice but to work hard to get what they want. Is that entirely true, and working hard is the only choice we have? When started to work, I saw the same thing happen to myself as well as people around me. Then I come to another question, when the time we get what we think we want, is that really what we want?

After a deep thought and meditation in all these questions, I finally realize that I don't know why I'm so caught up with or brainwashed with working so hard for nothing. Why do I say that? When you ask why, means that you no longer believe working hard is the path you want. We always believe things that elder people told us, study hard, work hard, play less and you will get what you want later in life. The fact that what they said what we want in life usually is what our parent want and the fact that what our parent want is actually what our grand parent want and the fact that what our grand parent want is what our great grand parent want. So what I'm trying to say is, what most people want when they work hard, is to get a "better" house, "better" life, and "better" car. As you can see, why do I put double quote for the word better? I put double quote for the word better because it like we nah happy wit ourself or what we have.

It is true that most of the people nowadays work so hard and some become workaholic just to make their life a little bit "better". Don't you think that this is somehow unwise? And because we want to become "better", it always lead us to work for money, and when we work for money, problem arise ( money is de root of all evil ). You will hear people say that we have no time for our children, we have no time for our family, I have to work like a slave in order not to get fired.

Maybe you'll ask, do we have a choice? We just have to work hard to maintain what we have now and to get "better", we just have to work harder. My I-dren and sistren, we all have our choices, we can choose what we want and how we want to be. In order to make a good choice for yourself, you just have to spend some time to figure out what you really want in life, what is your ultimate goal? Without knowing what you really want in life, there is no way of going anywhere. So Idrens and Sistrens, stop working so hard for a while, think hard for what you really want.

We must achieve a balance in our life. Where is de time for love for one another, love for humanity, love for self?? If love is de root, then so we must start wit love & education. So a man thinketh, so is he.

Well said my Brethren, however, you must decide what it is you want, more material things that you think will make you happy and bog you down in debt, or do you want a just a good clean peaceful life know Jah provides all when we want or need it. Like everyone else, I thought if I had this or that I wuld be a better perso, what it did for me wasmade me fake and superficial,and lonely,sure I had all of that but I had nothing because I knew nothing, most of all I did not know myself. Once I truly discovered who I am, all those wants left me, I found peace, I found love, I found true strength to be the best person who I can be and who I am now.
I worked hard at one thing, being true to myself and to my own self I am true. This is who I am truth, not a hard worker, I am love, I am joy and yes, I am prosperity(not money wealth). I prosper in all my life,by living the truth of who I am and sharing this truth and wisdom with all I meet. Remember this: To Thine own self be true" Get Wisdom not material things, with will be taken and lost from you but live a life full and your eards will be great. Trust me I know this to be oh so true.
