Hujambo (Greetings) Family:

Peace and blessings with much love during this period of challenges and greater opportunities for African unity and development. The World African Diaspora Union (WADU) is inviting you to its 2009 Pan African Movement Summit from July 22-26, 2009. We are also asking for your generous financial contribution, your sponsorship, advertisement or note of support for WADU to reunify African Diaspora. The 2009 Summit theme is “Economic Self-Determination – for Cultural & Political Rebirth.” The venue for the Summit is the historic Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA.

The 2009 Summit marking the 109th anniversary of the first Pan African Congress is to build a powerful African Diaspora, with Africa. The Summit is especially convened to organize a Pan African economic agenda and taskforce to promote businesses, trade and investments across the Diaspora, and with Africa; to organize a unified system of leadership in our Diaspora communities and to publish a Blueprint for Pan African Power for distribution across the African Diaspora.

As you may know, our President, His Excellency Dr. Dudley Thompson is an esteemed elder and a “Living Legend” of the Pan African Movement. He one of a few surviving members of the famous 5th Pan African Congress. He was a former attorney for President Jomo Kenyatta, a former Foreign Minister of Jamaica (Michael Manley), advisor to President-elect MKO Abiola of Nigeria and was recognized by the African Union ((OAU) as an Eminent Elder of the Pan African Movement. He was recently elected President of the Diaspora at the 2007 Summit in Jamaica. Since then he has traveled across the African world promoting the importance of African-African Diaspora unity for development.

Clearly, African leaders of the Diaspora have had an immense influence on the ending of slavery, colonialism and promoting Pan Africanism as a paradigm for African liberation, unification and empowerment. As we move forward with the agenda for African ‘second liberation’ and renaissance, WADU is now serving as one of the foremost Pan African organizations responding to the calls by African leaders to reunite members of our scattered and marginalized family in the Diaspora with Africa.

We are very thankful for your work to advance African people and so humanity, and now seeking your support to advance as a people. Hope to see you at the Summit from July 22-26, 2009. To make contribution or for more information, please contact at the above address, our website is WADUPAM.ORG.
